Reduced-Fee Swimming Lesson

To help make swimming accessible for everyone, Chomper’s Swim School is offering reduced-fee swimming lessons for eligible families.
This program promotes water safety, confidence, and fun for every child.

Program Overview

Lesson Cost: $45 per set (4–6 classes, depending on weekday or Saturday schedule)
Reduced Fee: You pay $20 per set. Chomper’s Swim School covers the remaining $25.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet both of the following:

  1. Be a student who qualifies for Free or Reduced Lunch at school.
  2. Provide proof of qualification, which includes a copy of the current school year’s approval letter from the school district or school office.
    • If your child is 3–4 years old, an older sibling’s approval letter will be accepted.

Required Documentation

When applying, please include:

  • A completed Reduced-Fee Swimming Lesson Application Form (PDF attached below)
  • A copy of your Free or Reduced Lunch approval letter
  • $20 payment for each set of lessons (due at registration)
  • An Amilia SmartRec account created through KOPFC online

How to Apply

Step 1: Submit Documents
Turn in your completed application and documentation either in person at the front desk or via email at btaylor@oquirrhrec.gov

Step 2: Pay at Registration
Once approved, complete online registration and pay the $20 fee.

Step 3: Schedule Lessons
After approval, you will receive a confirmation email, a coupon code, and instructions to sign up for your set of swimming lessons.

Deadline: Register by December 1, 2025.
Applicants may register for more than one set while funds last. Spots are limited and processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important Notes

  • No refunds for missed classes.
  • Failure to attend scheduled lessons may affect future eligibility.
  • Multiple sets are allowed while funds remain available.
