In addition to lap swimming, there are many ways to stay active in the water throughout our indoor pools. Aquatic exercise is a great low-impact workout that reduces stress on the joints while using the natural resistance of the water to strengthen muscles and improve cardiovascular health.

Ways to Exercise in the Water

Participants can enjoy a variety of self-guided aquatic exercises, including:

  • Water Walking in the shallow areas of the Indoor Recreation Pool
  • Walking with or against the current in the Current Canal
  • Deep-water exercises in the 50 Meter Pool or other deeper pool areas using a flotation belt or noodle

Important Information

  • Aquatic exercise is available during Non-Open Plunge times only
  • Additional schedule restrictions may apply due to programs and special activities
  • Youth participants must be:
    • Actively exercising
    • Supervised by an adult at all times
